David Perkins

Rev. David Perkins - Minister

I'm Rev. David, married to Chris, and Dad to Judi and Alun.

I have been in the ministry for 30 years and am really delighted to be working with the folk in Royal Wootton Bassett, as together we seek God’s will.

It’s a great church with a real heart for the community and a passion for Christ, for worship and for witness. My ministry priorities are to teach and equip God's people to know their faith and to be confident in how they live it out.

Simon Wills - Youth Worker

Simon Wills joined us as our new Youth Worker in January 2019. Simon, who was born in Yeovil, recently completed training in Burnley where he also had placements in two churches and several school settings.

Simon was welcomed at a special service on  January 6th where young people took part. He says “It has been great meeting some of the young people straight away. Seeing them eager to grow into young adults has been encouraging already. I am looking forward to serving the communities both in the Royal Wootton Bassett and Purton area and being alongside young people both in church and the community as they journey through life.”

Kathy Lane - RWBMC Families worker

Hello everyone, I am the families worker at RWB Methodist Church.

I am a mother myself, and have a wealth of experience, having worked with children and adults for the best part of my career,

I graduated with a Theology Degree from Moorlands College, with a Families and Community track, in 2016 and started working here in Wootton Bassett in January 2018.

My work includes work in the community, in schools and running creative events to reach out to the local area. I also work in the Church, helping in Junior Church with primary-age children, co-leading Puddleducks toddler group and contributing to the “All-in” services.

My latest venture is setting up and leading a support group for parents with SEN children. This is an ecumenical  group, held in the Croft, next to St Bartholomew’s Anglican Church. All parents whose children have special needs and/or disabilities are welcome. It is a drop-in group at present, where parents can find a listening ear in a confidential, welcoming environment with a free cuppa.

If you would like to find out more about any of these things in which I am involved, you can approach me personally or
