Women’s Fellowship meets on the first Tuesday afternoon of the month from 2.15pm to approximately 3.45pm between the months of September and June. We do not meet in January and February 2018.
We usually start with a couple of hymns and a prayer and then have a speaker to give a talk for about half-an-hour. We finish with a cup of tea, a biscuit and a chat.
The ladies from Women’s Fellowship and their friends have also been knitting for Smile International, a charity supported by our church, for the last two or three years. We make items of clothing for children up to the ages of 16, expertly made by our volunteer knitters. Knitted and crocheted blankets, jumpers, hats, gloves, mittens and baby clothes are all beautifully made from unwanted wool oddments or donated new wool. At the end of 2012 we were able to send 16 large bags of garments and blankets to Smile and these in turn are sent to places like Kosova, Uganda and Sri Lanka to those in need resulting from conflict and natural disasters
